Pin Up Table Games RTP: Blackjack, Roulette, and Baccarat
If you're on Pin Up and you want the best math, table games beat every slot in the casino. European roulette is 97.3% just by existing, no strategy needed. Blackjack with perfect basic strategy hits 99.5%. Baccarat's banker bet is 98.94%. These are all better than any top-20 slot on Pin Up. The tradeoff is that table games are slower and less visually stimulating than slots, which is exactly why slot fans push back on them.
Why Table Games Have Higher RTPs Than Slots
Table games have been around for centuries and their math is thoroughly understood. Casino operators set table-game rules that produce a small house edge (usually 0.5–3%), which corresponds to RTP in the 97–99.5% range. Slots are newer and operators have more freedom to set RTPs lower because the math is less transparent to players. The upshot is that table games are consistently better odds if you play the right variants and use correct strategy.
Blackjack on Pin Up
Classic Blackjack (99.5% With Perfect Strategy)
Classic blackjack with standard Vegas rules (dealer stands on soft 17, blackjack pays 3:2, double after split allowed) has a house edge of around 0.5% with perfect basic strategy — 99.5% RTP. This is the highest RTP in the Pin Up casino outside of full-pay video poker. The catch is that you need to play basic strategy correctly on every hand; random play drops the RTP to around 97%.
Blackjack Variants (European, Atlantic City, Spanish 21)
European blackjack has slightly worse RTP than Vegas because of rule differences (dealer doesn't check for blackjack on 10-value upcards). Atlantic City blackjack is similar to Vegas but with 8 decks. Spanish 21 uses a 48-card deck (no tens) but gives bonuses for specific hand combinations; RTP is around 99.6% with perfect strategy. Each variant has its own basic strategy chart, so don't mix them up.
Basic Strategy Chart
Basic strategy for standard blackjack fits on a single page. Rules are deterministic: for each combination of your hand total and the dealer's upcard, there's exactly one correct action (hit, stand, double, split). Learn the chart, practise in demo mode, then play for real. The difference between optimal play and casual play is around 2 percentage points of RTP — meaningful over a long session.
Why Side Bets Kill Your RTP
Blackjack side bets (Perfect Pairs, 21+3, Lucky Lucky) are presented as fun add-ons but they have terrible house edges — typically 5–15% edge, which translates to 85–95% RTP on the side bet portion. Never place blackjack side bets if you're optimising for expected value. They're marketing, not math.
Roulette on Pin Up
European Roulette (97.3%)
European roulette has a single zero, giving it a house edge of 2.7% and an RTP of 97.3%. Every bet on the European wheel has the same RTP — red/black, odd/even, columns, straight-up numbers, they all return 97.3% over the long run. The only variable is variance, which depends on bet type. This is the roulette variant you should always play if available.
French Roulette (98.65% With La Partage)
French roulette is European roulette with the La Partage rule, which refunds half your even-money bet if the ball lands on zero. This drops the house edge on even-money bets from 2.7% to 1.35%, raising the RTP to 98.65%. French roulette is mathematically better than European but is less commonly offered. If you see it in Pin Up's table-games lobby, play it over European.
American Roulette (94.74% — Avoid)
American roulette has both a zero and a double-zero, giving it a house edge of 5.26% and an RTP of 94.74%. That's almost twice the European house edge. American roulette is strictly worse than European roulette in every way, and there is no reason to play it if European is available. If Pin Up offers both, always choose European.
Which Roulette Table to Pick on Pin Up
Priority order: French (98.65%), European (97.3%), American (94.74% — avoid). Pin Up's table games catalog includes European Roulette as the default; French Roulette is less common but worth hunting for. Live Roulette tables in the live casino section are usually European variants. Always check the rules panel before placing bets to confirm which variant you're playing.
Baccarat on Pin Up
Banker Bet (98.94%)
The banker bet in baccarat has a house edge of 1.06% (RTP 98.94%) because of the banker-wins-slightly-more-than-player mathematical quirk. This is the highest-RTP baccarat bet and the one to default to. The catch is that banker wins pay 0.95 to 1 rather than 1 to 1 (a 5% commission), which is already factored into the 98.94% RTP figure.
Player Bet (98.76%)
Player bet has a slightly lower RTP at 98.76% (house edge 1.24%). Still very competitive. Player pays 1 to 1 without commission, so the gross payout feels bigger than banker, but the net RTP is marginally worse.
Tie Bet (85.64% — Never Play This)
The tie bet on baccarat has an RTP of just 85.64% — a 14.36% house edge. This is one of the worst bets in the entire casino, far worse than any reasonable slot. Never place the tie bet under any circumstances unless you're playing for entertainment value only and have accepted that you're burning expected value.
Commission on Banker Wins
Some baccarat variants offer "no commission" banker bets where banker pays 1 to 1 but the banker winning with a 6 only pays half. The resulting RTP is slightly different from standard commission baccarat — usually slightly worse. If you see a no-commission option, check the exact rules before deciding whether it's better than the standard version.
Table Games vs Slots — The RTP Reality
| Game | RTP | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Blackjack (basic strategy) | 99.5% | Requires strategy learning |
| French Roulette | 98.65% | Even-money bets with La Partage |
| Baccarat Banker | 98.94% | No skill required |
| European Roulette | 97.30% | No skill required |
| Blood Suckers (slot) | 98.00% | Low vol, bonus clearing |
| Mega Joker (slot, Supermeter) | 99.00% | Mode-dependent |
| Avg slot on Pin Up | ~96% | Across full catalog |
| American Roulette | 94.74% | Avoid |
| Baccarat Tie | 85.64% | Never |
The gap between table games and slots is larger than most slot fans realise. European Roulette's 97.3% RTP beats the top 20 average slot RTP on Pin Up. Blackjack with basic strategy beats every slot except Mega Joker (which requires Supermeter). Baccarat banker beats every slot except the absolute top tier. If you're optimising for expected value, the case for table games over slots is strong.
How to Find These Tables on Pin Up
Pin Up groups table games in two places. The main casino tab has computer-dealer table games (instant-play, faster rounds). The live casino tab has live-dealer table games with streaming video. The RTPs on live tables are identical to the computer versions for the same variant — the difference is the atmosphere, not the math. Pick whichever you prefer.
